
President/Founder – Sana Amarasinghi, Communications Consultant
Sana Amarasinghi is a strategic public relations graduate; she is passionate about child welfare, communications, and building corporate social responsibility. Campaign Home has been her dream for more than 13 years; she believes every child deserves a home and she will continue to campaign for the goal. She is implementing communication strategies and providing insights on organizational transformation at Deloitte. She earned her Master’s from The George Washington University and Executive Education in Nonprofit Leadership from Harvard Kennedy School.
Sana was the founder and co-leader of the Florida chapter of the National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum (NAPAWF). She led the Global Shapers of Orlando as the Curator from 2020 to 2022. In her spare time, she enjoys writing, crocheting, and spending time with her nephew.

Secretary/Spokesperson – Heidi Melendez
Heidi is a passionate and dedicated individual with a unique background that has shaped her commitment to making a positive impact in the nonprofit sector. Having grown up in the foster care system alongside her siblings in Seminole County, Florida, Heidi brings a firsthand understanding of the challenges faced by children in similar situations.
As a mother of Kaia and soon-to-be mom of two, Heidi’s personal experiences have fueled her determination to help children in foster care. Her admirable dedication is evident in her conscious parenting and her eagerness to extend her impact by serving on the Campaign Home board.
Heidi is not just a proud mother, wife, and daughter; she is also a compassionate advocate for change. With a focus on positively impacting the lives of children in foster care, Heidi is poised to contribute significantly to the nonprofit world through her service on the board. Her unique perspective, coupled with her genuine passion, makes her an invaluable asset to any organization dedicated to fostering positive change in the lives of vulnerable children.

Board Member – Juanica Fernandes, Executive Director for State Voices
Juanica Fernandes, a native Floridian, serves as the Executive Director for State Voices. Committed to serving progressive values and causes, her mission is to empower people and community organizations with tools to develop, monitor, implement, and improve effective outreach strategies to advance shared agendas and create permanent and lasting change.
An alumnus from the University of Florida, Juanica was inspired to move from a career in banking and finance to public service and advocacy during the campaign for President Obama. During the campaign, she coordinated several presidential visits and organized hundreds of volunteers across Central Florida. For the past decade, Juanica has served in leadership positions on a host of campaigns and raised millions of dollars for candidates and various organizations.
She enjoys reading, boxing, and spending time with her husband, two loving children and their rambunctious dog, Chase.
